La Bastide Saint Dominique – Cote Rotie Rouge AOP 2012
Soldout
MOP$1,983.00

Owned by Gerard and Marie Claude Bonnet, and found in the heart of the Provence, the vineyard is situated around a former Chapel from the 16th Century, on the hills of Chateauneuf du Pape. Where the estate enjoys optimal climate with the unique Mistral wind and very hot and dry summers, ideal terroir and perfect growing conditions.

Tasting Notes:
Intense dark garnet-red colour. Dark fruit (blackberries), somewhat flower-like - viognier, roasted nuts, earthly tones, leather and mocha notes. Tempting tannin, with a nice concentration and finesse.

Grape:
Southern Rhone blend - it is usually made up of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre.

Serving suggestions:
Decant wine for about one hour before pouring. Serve cool, below room temperature to slow evaporation of the alcohol at around 16–18 º

Pairings:
This wine will taste great alongside any red meat, such as pheasant and game, but also sausages. The soft saltiness of hams and antipasti works wonderfully well with this wine, as do hard cheeses.
