The Maison Philippe Prié is situated right in the heart of the Côte des Bar, in the south of the Champagne region. Since 1737, they have been cultivating vines with passion right across their ancestral lands. All their vintages are created by blending Chardonnay and the Pinot Noir, using traditional methods.
Tasting Notes:
White-gold in colour, with fine bubbles which form a light and consistent bead. The first floral notes are of hawthorn blossom, a blend with red berries and yellow fruits. Later notes of butter mingling with fresh almond, vanilla and liquorice, reminding us of its marriage with the wood.
Grape:
Pinot Noir (50 %), Chardonnay (50 %)
Serving suggestions:
Fill an ice bucket half with ice and half with water, then chill your champagne for twenty five minutes, ideally around 5-9°. Don't forget chill the glasses too.
Pairings:
An ideal companion for your fine lunches, pairs perfectly with shellfish, such as crabs and lobster..
