Mathias Roblin’s first commercial vintage was in 2000 and Decanter wrote: “Searing concentration of lime and elderflower fruit with refreshing acids. Long and even with a steely mineral character.”
Currently they farm eight hectares, producing mainly Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. This will increase in the next couple of years but Domaine Roblin will always remain an artisan operation.
Tasting Notes:
This wine displays aromas of fresh lemon and grapefruit that set the stagefor a highly refreshing, bright mouthful and finish. High-toned suggestions of thym and peppermint along with intimations of crushed stone and fusel oils add to the slightly aggressive pungency of this attractively lean, long Sancerre.
Grape:
Sauvignon Blanc
