In 2016, the Goichot family took the reins of this lovely estate, previously owned by the Perret du Cray family since 1798. The Château du Cray is a 22 hectars wine estate located in north of Buxy, in Saone-et-Loire. The vines stretch around the Château, in the middle of the hillside and benefit from a privileged East to South East exposure. The estate benefit from MONOPOLE: Le Cornevent.
Tasting Notes:
With 12 months in the barrel, this soft, ripe wine offers a toastiness alongside rich yellow-fruit and red-apple flavours. Clean, dry, robust and appealing with a fresh bouquet of citrus and white peach and a zestyness on the nose.
The perfect drinking summer afternoon wine. Already refreshingly juicy, it will be even better in 2022.
