Owned by Gerard and Marie Claude Bonnet, and found in the heart of the Provence, the vineyard is situated around a former Chapel from the 16th Century, on the hills of Chateauneuf du Pape. Where the estate enjoys optimal climate with the unique Mistral wind and very hot and dry summers, ideal terroir and perfect growing conditions.
Tasting Notes:
A deep dark red, a true thoroughbred when it comes to big reds, with a rich nose of black berries, licorice, dark chocolate and oriental spices. Powerful on the mouth, sensual tannic structure which is dense and velvety.
The finale, rich oak that still reveals new aromas of smokey notes.
Grape:
Southern Rhone blend - it is usually made up of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre.
Serving suggestions:
Decant wine for about one hour before pouring. Serve cool, below room temperature to slow evaporation of the alcohol at around 16–18 º
Pairings:
Perfect with all types of dark red meats, and smoked salmon.
