Found naturally in the frigid waters of the North Atlantic ocean. Atlantic cod is a real treat, with a fresh colour, mild yet distinctive flavour, lean, with a somewhat dense flesh that breaks into large flakes easily.
It is high in protein and a good source of vitamins A, C, B6, and B12, as well as omega-3 fatty acids.
Cooking tips
The pure white fillets -even after cooking - are rich oily, tender, and flakes easily, this is a versatile fillet ideal for all kinds of preparations but probably best known as the classic fish and chips recipe, deep fried in a beer batter, but it is also perfect for baking our making soups with.
