Our British Brown Crab (Cancer pagurus) is fished all around the British coast, but mainly Scotland and Wales.
The Brown crab are caught alive in creels/pots located on the seabed. This is a sustainable and environmentally friendly form of fishing which has a minimal impact on the surrounding marine environment.
After they have been caught, the crabs are transported within 24 hours were they are then placed in our specialist tanks between 4-6c. The cool temperature lowers the metabolic rate of the crab keeping them alive and healthy.
The meat of the Brown crab is soft, flaky, sweet and buttery with a long lasting briny seafood taste.
