The Autréau story began in 1670 in the village of Champillon, where the family began to grow grapes on their estate, these grapes were sold to major houses and negociants. In 1953, Gerald Autréau decided to keep the grapes to produce Champagne on his own.
The vineyard is situated in the heart of the Champagne appellation, with its hillsides overlooking the city of Epernay.
Now in its third generation, the family still collaborate to create Grands Crus and 1er Crus.
Aware of the stakes of climate change, they have transitioned towards sustainable viticulture. Autréau is currently a member of the Magister Network.
